Good quality
Mr. M. Kostyrka –
The two other reviewers did not comment on the quality of these strings, but rather spoke about delivery time and damaged packaging etc. I’ve played guitar for about 55 years and have owned most types of guitar in that time, plus obviously tried a few different makes of strings etc etc. I recently bought a MIM Tele Standard which I was very impressed with, especially the sound which to my ears gave the best ‘Fender’ type sound I’d heard to date, ie plenty of bark and definition on the bass strings, something I hadn’t really heard on the many and varying Stratocasters I’ve owned in the past. For many years my strings have been Da’Darrios- sometimes 9s and other times 10s. Anyway I was very pleased with the sound and as per usual after a bit I did the usual string change to my usual Dadarrios 9- 42 (Nickle wound) and basically that Fender sound had gone…I looked up on the net to see what strings were supplied as stock on new Fender Standards and lo and behold it was these strings which obviously give a better defined sound as they are steel plated with nickle. I can honestly say the difference is amazing and to think I never seriously considered Fender strings previously.
